London has centers of worship for a multitude of faiths. However, historically it has been dominated by Christianity. It has a large number of churches around the area. Particularly city of London alone contains around 50 churches.
Religion is also incredibly diverse factor in London, with all major world religions represented in the city. The majority of Londoners would describe themselves as Christian, although the remaining 3 million residents encompass Sikhs, Buddhists, Hindus, Jewish, and Muslim minorities, with the latest statistics revealing that there are 36,000 Londoners who categorize themselves under other religious denominations.
